Rigid/Flex was originally developed for use in aerospace applications but now their use covers almost every type of product from aircraft to cars, cameras, computer, medical equipment, mobile phones, pagers and domestic appliances. The benefits are increased reliability, total assembly repeatability, ease of assembly, inspection and testing.

And in many applications cost savings of at least 30% are achievable if you take the overall cost of the finished product rather than just the piece part cost of buying a flexible circuit. Weight and space savings of up to 50% over conventional wiring is possible. With the trend to ever smaller packaging whilst increasing features space is always at a premium.

Chemitalic Suzhou has a specialized knowhow about Rigid/flex PCB production. Now we can produce 2-8 layers rigid/flex board. This will give excellent assembly performance through broader latitude in high-temperature processing like SMT soldering.
